Cambridge 2000: university: Guildhall Street: Fisher House
This contains an octagonal room that is used for
masses. It is designed in a fairly typical 1970s
style of architecture. Fisher House started out
in a
much older building.
The public space, Fisher Square, at the side of Fisher
Hall, was redesigned by Tim Partington of
Chapman Taylor
as part of the building of the
Grand Arcade.
The sculpture, made from a 10 tonne boulder of red granite,
is called 'Between the Lines', by Peter Randall-Page, and
it was unveiled on 6 December 2007.
