Located on the corner of Brooks Road and Coldham's Lane, and opposite Sainsbury's, this is a very noticeable A-frame building, one of a few in the city of that style, and from that era.

In 1967 the same architect designed a vestry for the church.

Int the 1980s the building was vacated by St Stephen's after they merged with St Philip's, on Mill Road. In 2010 the site was sold to the Cambridge Community Church in order to help fund a major renovation of St Philip's.

In July 2014 the church was demolished, and replaced by a much bigger one.
