This is an example of the "affordable" housing built as part of the re-development (the Accordia development) of the old government office site. It is not that different in style from some of the open market housing built on the same site.
The Accordia development (as a whole) was awarded the RIBA Stirling prize for 2008 (this is the top annual UK architecture prize).
