Cam Flood Photographs: October 2001
Cambridge 2000 flood home page
The Cam hardly ever floods but unbelievably it flooded twice in 2001,
first in February
and then again from 21-23 October, after around 3.5 inches
of rain on the 21st. By midday on the 22nd the water had
dropped about a foot from its peak. The October flood was slightly
worse than the February flood, but was not as bad as the 1947
flood (e.g. see photo of marker at Trinity College below).
