Cambridge Snow Photographs: January 2003
Cambridge 2000 snow home page
People like to joke that a small amount of snow can bring England
to a halt. This was proven to be true on 30 January 2003 when a couple of inches
fell in Cambridgeshire in the afternoon. The evening rush hour was severely
disrupted, with journeys of a few miles taking hours to complete, and with
many roads (e.g. the M11 and A14) being closed with hundreds of vehicles stuck
overnight. Another inch or so fell overnight.
