Cambridge 2000: St Catharine's Road: The Meadows Community Centre
There was a large (approximately 30 acre, 12 hectare) site
which used to have allotments, many of which were derelict,
so about half the land was taken for housing. As part of the
process it was agreed to build a community centre.
The fencing, which only surrounded the southern part of the
building, was quite ornamental.
The building was demolished in April 2023 after a
replacement building
was completed nearby.
