Marconi, the electronics company, occupied the building later in 2000
(i.e. after the photo was taken), moving from their
previous building.
Lots of beautiful glass, but with the usual British building run-in
problems (leaky roof, etc.).
After the bursting of the internet bubble in 2000, Marconi's share price
collapsed and so this building was never filled to maximum occupancy.
In December 2002 Marconi announced they would close up shop in Cambridge,
and they departed this building at the end of March 2004.
Later in 2004 Cambridge Silicon Radio (CSR) moved into the building.
