A beautiful setting for a school, although the building and grounds belong to the university Botanic Garden.
The building is actually located on Bateman Street rather than Brookside.
The shrub on the right with the blue flowers is a Ceanothus (Ceanothus 'Cynthia Postan'), which is fairly common in Cambridge (often with light blue flowers, which are not so attractive as the dark blue ones). The shrub next to it, with the yellow flowers, is an Azara serrata, which does not smell nearly as strongly as Azara microphylla, which flowers earlier in the year.
The school was taken over by St Mary's and in 2007 the school vacated the premises.
In 2007-2008 the building was converted for use by the Botanic Garden and the main garden entrance was moved from just north of this building (to the right in the photograph) to just south of it.
