Cambridge 2000: Emmanuel College: Fellows' Garden: swimming pool
There may have been a pool on this site already in the 17th century.
The current one is around 25 yards in length and is one of the few
Cambridge college pools. Although located in the Fellows' Garden,
junior members of the college are allowed to use the pool at certain
times. The rather minimal changing hut at the one end dates from
around the same era as the pool.
The pool is situated just over a tall wall from the
Drummer Street bus station,
so it is not particularly tranquil.
