Cambridge colleges are more and more interested in conference
business, and this building was designed with this purpose in
mind. There is a 150-seat auditorium underground, a foyer at
ground floor level, and a double-height conference room above.
The
orthogonal block
(to the right in the photo) contains accommodation.
Van Heyningen and Haward were the design architects and Bland, Brown
and Cole were the executive architects.
