Cambridge 2000: Hills Road: The Marque
This was built on the site of a Marshall's car garage,
and was many years in the planning. It was originally
called Living Screens, and the design for the screen
was done in collaboration with the artist Michael Tuck.
Unfortunately the result did not live up to expectations.
The building is taller than
King's College Chapel,
and this height seems to be its main selling point.
There are in total almost a hundred flats, as well as
retail shops at the bottom.
