As part of the redevelopment of the entire 1970s Arup Associates building for the Cambridge Conservation Initiative and the Museum of Zoology, this glass box was added to provide a new entrance for the museum.
The sculpture at the end of the box is by Ackroyd and Harvey. It is made from Welsh slate and represents a black walnut tree located in the Botanic Garden.
