Cambridge 2000: Martingale Close: 12-16
This land was once agricultural, but it laid derelict for many years,
pretty much only being used by people walking their dogs.
In the early 1990s a new housing development
was put on this site, and another one on
an adjoining site.
In keeping with all such modern
developments the houses have fairly tiny plots. The photo
shows typical houses on Martingale Close, which could be
from any 1990s housing estate in England.
The far side of the houses is
greenbelt land.
