Cambridge 2000: Victoria Road: St Luke's Church
Most notable for its spire. In 1989-1990 the church merged
with the nearby Victoria Road United Reformed Church when
the latter was demolished to make way for
housing.
At the time
Bland, Brown and Cole
added the small extension jutting out from the nave, as seen
in the photo at the left, and at the same time added a larger
extension at the back (on the north side) and did major internal
conversion work (including the installation of a balcony moved
from the United Reformed Church). In 2005 the same architects
added a porch on the south side.
