The main office for the county government for Cambridge.
Although the building is not great it is better than the other government buildings in the city.
There was an underground nuclear bunker here for the Cambridge elite.
The county government vacated the site in 2021 and moved to what was called the New Shire Hall, inconveniently located, for those unable to drive, on the outskirts of Alconbury.
