This is the view from just east of the railway line towards town. The large area of lawn in the middle of the photo is Midsummer Common with the Victoria Avenue Horse Chestnuts bordering on one side, and then on from that Jesus Green. The large block of buildings just the near side of Midsummer Common is the Grafton Centre. The large building at the bottom of the photo is Ridgeons on Cromwell Road and over the railway line is the Beehive shopping centre.
